Count Stock With a Stocktake
Updated 24 Sep 2026
A count sheet lists every part held at one location, with the quantity Deployr has on record when the count starts. You count what's there, then post the differences.
- In Sales & Money → Inventory, open the Counts drawer.
- Choose the Location to Count, then Start a Count.
- Choose Count on the new count and enter what's on the shelf for each line. Scan to Count finds a part by its barcode and adds one for each scan.
- Choose Save and Come Back to finish later, or Post Count when you're done.
Posting puts through only the difference between what you counted and the figure recorded when the count started. Stock received or used while you were counting is kept, and lines you didn't count are left as they are.
A count sheet lists only parts already held at that location. To put a part on a location's shelf for the first time, use Move Stock. Office and dispatch staff can post a count of any location. A technician can post a count of their own van only.
