See What's on a Van and Request Parts

Updated 24 Sep 2026

Operations → Van Stock shows a van's parts on its shelves and bins. A technician sees the van set up in their name; office staff choose any van from the list. Search finds a part by its name, SKU or barcode, and parts the van doesn't carry are listed under Not in This Van.

A technician's van appears once an admin adds a Technician Van location in Inventory with that technician chosen; see Set Up Stock Locations and Move Stock.

Request Parts From the Warehouse

  1. Choose Request Parts. The request goes from the warehouse to this van.
  2. Add a line for each part with its quantity, and choose Create Transfer.

If the van already has a request waiting to be picked between the same two places, the new lines join it, so the warehouse picks one request rather than several. The office picks and sends it from the Transfers drawer in Inventory.

Receive What Arrives

Requests still to arrive are listed under On Its Way in the van's Restock panel. Once the office has sent one, choose Receive, check the quantities, and choose Confirm Receipt. The stock moves onto the van only then, and comes out of the warehouse by exactly what arrived.

A technician can receive only into their own van, and only once the office has sent the transfer. Until then it waits on the office, which can also receive it for you. The Restock list asks for parts that fall to a van's own minimum, and there's no screen to set that minimum yet, so request parts with Request Parts. Van stock needs the Commercial plan.
