Renew, Cancel or Reactivate a Maintenance Agreement

For admins and office staff · Updated 24 Sep 2026

An agreement is Active, Expired or Cancelled. Its page says which, beside its term.

Renew an Agreement

From its Renewal Reminder days before the end date, an agreement counts among the renewals due on the Maintenance page, and its own page offers Renew. At other times, Renew… is under More. The Renewals view on the Maintenance page lists every agreement with an end date.

  1. Choose Renew or Renew….
  2. Set the New End Date and Contract Term (Months), and change the price or what's included if they've changed.
  3. Choose Save Renewal. An expired agreement becomes active again.

To change what an agreement covers or its visits, choose Edit on its page instead.

Renewing Automatically

An agreement stays Active through its end date. The morning after, an agreement with Renews Automatically on gets a new end date one contract term later (12 months if no term is set), a term at a time until today falls inside its term. Without it, the agreement becomes Expired.

Raising its last visit of the term doesn't end it early, and its other visits carry on until the end date.

Without Renews Automatically, a visit dated after the end date isn't raised. Renew the agreement first, and its visits carry on.

Cancel an Agreement

On the agreement's page, choose More, then Cancel Agreement…, and confirm. It stops raising jobs and billing, and leaves the timetable. Jobs already raised from it stay open, so cancel those from their own pages if the work isn't going ahead.

Bring It Back

A cancelled agreement's page offers Reactivate, which sets it active again so it raises jobs and bills as before.

An expired agreement comes back with Renew, not Reactivate.
