Add a Customer and Their Sites
For admins and office staff · Updated 23 Sep 2026
A customer is the business you work for. A site is a place you go for them, such as a store, a plant room or a school. Every job and quote belongs to a customer, and can name one of that customer's sites.
Add a Customer
- Go to Customers and choose New Customer.
- Enter the Customer Name. The ABN, phone, accounts email, billing address, primary contact and payment terms can be filled in now or later.
- Tick the purchase order box if they need to give you a PO before work starts.
- Choose Create Customer. Deployr opens the customer's page.
Add Their Sites
- Go to Sites and choose New Site.
- Pick the Customer, enter the Site Name and add the address.
- Optionally give it an Area, such as North or Bayside. The Sites board groups sites by area, and a site without one stands under its suburb.
- Choose Create Site.
A site's page holds what a technician needs before a visit: access instructions, inductions, permits, opening hours and contacts. Choose Edit on the site to fill them in.
While Raising a Job
An admin can add a customer or a site without leaving the job form: Add Customer and Add Site sit at the top of its Customer and Site lists.
For what a customer's page shows, and how to put a customer on hold, see Find a Customer's Work, Contacts and Status.
More in Customers, Sites and Assets
- Find a Customer's Work, Contacts and StatusWhat a customer's page and a site's page show, how they link to jobs and quotes, and how to put a customer on hold or delete one.
- Keep a Record of the Equipment You Look AfterAdd an asset to a site, log readings against its operating limits, see its service history and print its QR label.
