Keep a Record of the Equipment You Look After

An asset is a piece of equipment you look after at a customer's site: a coolroom, a split system, a switchboard. Its page gathers its specifications, the jobs done on it, its readings, its maintenance and its documents.

Add an Asset

1. Go to Assets and choose New Asset.
2. Pick the Customer, then the Site, and give it a name and a type. Make, model, serial and install date are optional.
3. Choose Add Asset. Deployr gives it the next asset code and opens its page.

With the HVACR trade pack on, refrigeration and air conditioning types also take the refrigerant and its charge. Choose Edit on the asset's page for the rest of its specifications.

Its Service History

Service History lists every job at the asset's site that names this asset. A job names it when it's raised from the asset's page with New Job, when a maintenance visit covers it, or when a technician picks it on the job in the field app.

Readings and Operating Limits

1. On the asset's Meter Readings tab, choose Operating Limits. Set a minimum and a maximum for the values you check, such as suction pressure or running amps, and choose Save Limits.
2. To record a visit's figures, choose Log Readings, fill in what was measured and choose Save Readings.

A reading outside its limits is marked on the list, and an operational asset becomes degraded. Technicians record readings on the job in the field app too, and there a reading outside the limits also raises a defect on the job.

Its Status

An asset is Operational, Degraded, Down or Decommissioned. Change it under More with Mark Operational, Mark Down or Decommission…. A decommissioned asset keeps its history and drops out of what needs attention; Mark Operational brings it back.

The QR Label

QR Label on the asset's page shows a label with the asset's name, code, a QR code and a barcode. Choose Print Label to print it. Scanning the QR code opens the asset's page for anyone signed in to Deployr who can open assets.
