What an Import Doesn't Bring Across

Some records never come across in an import, either by design or because no system's export carries them. Plan for these before you cancel your old system.

Never Imported

• Tax file numbers, bank, BSB and super details, passwords and logins, card numbers, and Medicare, licence and passport numbers. A column that looks like one of these is never matched or read, even when the file has it. Enter them again in Deployr.
• Stock on hand. Inventory items come in with their costs, suppliers and reorder levels but no quantities, because there's no record of the movements behind them.
• Photos and attachments. Download the ones you need to keep from your old system before you cancel.
• Timesheets, projects and subcontractors. Keep your old timesheet reports, and add subcontractors by hand.

Putting Stock Back on the Shelf

After your parts are imported, an admin records what's on each shelf with Move Stock in Inventory: choose the part, Adjustment as the Kind of Movement, the quantity, and the location under Into. Once a part is held at a location, later counts there include it; see Count Stock With a Stocktake.

Set Up Again in Deployr

• Recurring job templates and their repeat rules, and service reminder rules. A recurring job imported as a maintenance agreement comes across without its schedule, so set each one's visits.
• Workflows and automations.
• Your quote, invoice and report layouts, and your branding.
• Logins. Invite your team to Deployr instead.
• Connections to Xero and your suppliers.
• The history of who changed what.
