When a Save Says It Isn't on Your Plan
Updated 23 Sep 2026
Each Deployr plan includes a set of features. When someone tries to save something the business's plan doesn't cover, or saves anything at all while the account is read-only, Deployr refuses the save, says why, and saves nothing. Nothing already recorded is changed or deleted.
What Each Message Means
- Not included in your plan: the feature belongs to a bigger plan. The message names the plan that adds it, for example purchase orders, price books and inventory come with Commercial, and projects and onboarding packs with Projects.
- Trade pack limit reached: the Service plan allows one trade pack. Switch one off before switching another on, or move to Commercial for every trade pack.
- Deployr is read-only: the trial ended without a subscription, or a payment failed and the 7-day grace period has passed. Records can still be viewed, but not changed.
Sorting It Out
Only an admin can change the plan or the payment details. If you're an admin, the message has an Open Billing button that goes straight to Settings → The Business → Billing. From there:
- With no subscription yet, choose Start Subscription, pick the plan and how often to pay, and finish in Stripe.
- With a subscription, choose Manage Billing to change the plan or update the payment method in Stripe's billing portal.
- Go back to what you were doing and save it again.
If you're not an admin, ask one of your admins. The same message tells them what to do.
A plan change can take a minute to reach Deployr from Stripe. If a save is still refused straight after, wait a moment and try again.
More in Your Plan and Account
- Your Plan, the Trial and Starting a SubscriptionHow the 14-day trial works, what each plan includes, what you pay per user, and how an admin starts, changes or cancels the subscription.
- Log In, Create an Account and Reset Your PasswordCreate an account for a new business, set a password from an invite, log in, and get back in when you've forgotten your password.
- Delete Your Account or the Whole BusinessWhat deleting your Deployr account removes and keeps, and how the only admin closes the whole business, with 7 days to change their mind.
- Privacy and Exporting Your DataWho looks after which information in Deployr, where it's kept, how an admin exports records as CSV, and how to ask for a copy of your own details.
