Send Email From Your Own Domain
For admins · Updated 24 Sep 2026
Quotes, invoices and reports go out with your company's name as the sender. Until you set up your own domain, they come from Deployr's shared address, deployr@sentorotech.com.au, and replies still come back to you. Once your own domain is verified they come from an address on it, and customers' mail filters are far less likely to file them as junk.
Where Replies Go
Replies go to the company's Email Reply-To Address, or to its Email if that's blank. The sender name is the company's Email Sender Name, or its Trading Name. Set these on the company under Settings → The Business → Companies.
Deployr sends as your newest active company, and Email Sending opens on that company. A domain set up on another of your companies isn't used while that one is the newest.
Set Up Your Domain
- Open Settings → The Business → Email Sending. If you have more than one company, check the one under Company.
- Under Sending Domain, enter the domain to send from. A subdomain such as mail.yourbusiness.com.au keeps these records apart from the ones your everyday email uses.
- Choose Add Domain. Deployr lists the DNS Records to Publish.
- Under From Prefix, enter the part of the address before the @, which starts as noreply, and choose Save From Address.
- Add each record where your domain's DNS is managed, copying the name and value exactly. Copy Name, Copy Value and Copy All copy them for you, and Where Do I Add These? has steps for GoDaddy, Cloudflare, VentraIP and other hosts. If someone else looks after your domain, choose Send to IT to email them the records.
- Once the records are published, choose Check Verification. Each record shows whether it has been found, and the domain reads Verified once they all are.
DNS changes can take a while to spread. If a record still reads Not Found, wait and check again; checking as often as you like does no harm.
If Your Domain Is Already Set Up Elsewhere
If your domain is already set up with Deployr's email service under another account, such as another Deployr business or an earlier setup, Add Domain asks you to prove your business controls it instead of listing the sending records. Nothing changes for anyone while you do.
- Add the one TXT record under Record to Prove Ownership where your domain's DNS is managed. Its name is _deployr-claim, and Send to IT emails it to whoever looks after your domain.
- Choose Check the Record. Once it's found the domain is your business's, and the usual DNS Records to Publish appear: publish them and check verification as above.
- You can remove the _deployr-claim record afterwards.
The record works for 14 days; after that, choose Add Domain again for a new one. If another Deployr business was sending from the domain, it switches to the shared address and its administrators are told by email.
Mail keeps going from the shared address until the domain is verified, so nothing stops while you wait. Only admins can set this up.
