Use and Restock Your Van's Parts
For technicians · Updated 23 Sep 2026
Van Stock shows the parts on your van, bin by bin, and what's running low. Open it from My Day.
Putting Parts on a Job
- On the job, go to the Parts step.
- Find the part by name or code, set how many, and put them on the job. They come off your van's stock in the same save.
- For anything that isn't in the van, fill in Something Not in the Van and choose Add to the Job.
With no signal, a part you pick goes on the job but doesn't come off the van's stock. Adjust it on Van Stock once you're back online.
Restocking
- Open Van Stock. Parts at or below the van's minimum are listed under Restock, with how many to add.
- Choose Request Restock. It adds them to the van's open request to the warehouse, or raises a new one.
- When the parts arrive, choose Receive on the request.
To ask for a part the van doesn't carry, choose Request Parts.
- Low counts what's free to use: parts reserved for a job aren't counted as on the shelf.
- A part with no van minimum is listed once it runs out, but asks for nothing.
- A part already on its way isn't asked for again.
If You Have No Van
Your van is a stock location in your name. If Van Stock says there's no van set up for you, ask the office to add one under Inventory.
Van stock comes with the Commercial and Projects plans. See When a Save Says It Isn't on Your Plan.
